I was honestly skeptical about chocolate-covered fruit, but these are incredible—the thick-cut peel stays tender and chewy, not tough at all. The syrup bath really makes the citrus taste come through inside the coating.

The chocolate shell snaps clean and then it's all soft, syrupy lemon peel underneath — way more tender than the usual candied stuff. The slices are cut extra thick too, so you actually get that bittersweet hyuganatsu bite instead of just sugar. Been rationing the tin so it lasts.

I was worried the peel would be chewy or bitter, but these batons are tender all the way through, with that sugar-syrup soaking doing real work. The chocolate is thin enough that the citrus still comes through instead of getting buried.
