The extra-thick cut really makes these stand out—each piece is satisfyingly chewy with a bright citrus pop under the chocolate. I’ve been reaching for them daily as a little afternoon treat.

I was surprised by how much actual citrus bite comes through the chocolate coating. The peel slices are genuinely thick and tender, not chewy like the candied lemon I've bought elsewhere. Two pieces with afternoon tea is plenty for me.

The iyokan peel inside is thick and almost candied-fruit soft, so you get that bittersweet citrus bite against the chocolate instead of just sugar. I finished the whole box in two sittings, and the pieces held up fine without getting sticky.
